Building My Portfolio Website
How I designed and developed my personal portfolio as a student developer.
I decided to build my own personal portfolio website to showcase my projects, skills, and learning journey. The goal was simple: create a clean, functional space that reflects who I am as a student developer.
I focused on a minimalist design to keep the layout clear and easy to navigate. Using HTML, CSS, and a bit of JavaScript, I made sure the site works well on both desktop and mobile devices.
Key Lessons
- Plan before coding - sketching layouts and deciding features first saved time
- Keep it simple - a clean design helps visitors focus on the content
- Experiment with code - small animations, hover effects, and responsive tweaks improved the user experience
- Version control matters - using Git and GitHub made updates organized and easy
Building this portfolio taught me front-end development skills, problem-solving, and gave me confidence to keep creating projects. It's not just a website it's a reflection of my growth as a student developer.
